Meet Coni

I offer compassionate, holistic counselling for teens, adults, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, parenting stress, and blended family dynamics. My approach is grounded in both professional training and lived experience, allowing me to meet clients with depth, empathy, and understanding. I bring a wide range of life experiences into the therapy room, which helps clients feel seen rather than analyzed or judged. I understand firsthand how stress, trauma, and emotional overwhelm can live in the body — impacting the nervous system, digestion, sleep, mood, and relationships. Healing isn’t about trying harder or thinking differently alone; it’s about learning how your mind and body work together and creating safety within your system. My work is rooted in nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and the mind-gut connection, supporting clients in building resilience, emotional balance, and lasting change.

Meet Willow

Hi, I’m Willow — though most people call me Willow Bean. I’m not your average office dog; I’m a calm presence, a quiet companion, and a gentle source of comfort during counselling sessions. Willow offers optional canine support for clients who find grounding, connection, or emotional safety easier with an animal nearby. Her role is simple but powerful: to help soften the nervous system, bring a sense of ease to the room, and offer moments of calm or lightness while talking about hard things. Sometimes that looks like lying quietly at your feet, sometimes it’s a playful pause, and sometimes it’s just knowing she’s there. Canine support can be especially helpful for clients experiencing anxiety, grief, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty settling into their body. Willow’s presence can make sessions feel less intimidating and more approachable — particularly for teens and children, though many adults find her just as regulating. Willow can be booked directly when scheduling your session, or you’re welcome to request her presence during an in-person appointment if you decide in the moment that having her there would feel supportive.

Why I Do This Work

My journey into counselling began as a client.

Over thirteen years ago, I began my own therapy to navigate anxiety, grief, relationships, and the long-term effects of stress on my nervous system. Through over thirteen years of therapy — and counting — I experienced how powerful it can be to feel supported, understood, and empowered with knowledge about how your body and mind respond to life experiences.

That journey shaped not only who I am, but how I work.

I became a counsellor because I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest, supported without judgment, and given practical tools that fit their real lives. Therapy taught me that regulation creates clarity, compassion creates change, and that knowledge truly is power.

My Approach to Counselling

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT with nervous system regulation, somatic practices, and mind-gut education. I take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing that emotional well-being is deeply connected to the body, lived experience, and the way your nervous system has learned to respond to the world.

My style is collaborative, intuitive, and grounded in real life. I don’t rely heavily on jargon or overly clinical language, and I believe therapy should feel human, not scripted. There is room for honesty, curiosity, and even humor — because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time to be meaningful.

I’m not here to “fix” you or tiptoe around the hard stuff. I’ll meet you with compassion and clarity, helping you gently but honestly understand what’s getting in the way and what might actually help. Together, we focus on practical insight, nervous system awareness, and tools that make sense for your life — not theoretical perfection.

I work with teens, individuals, couples, and families seeking anxiety counselling, grief support, and guidance through life transitions and relationship challenges. My role is to walk alongside you as you build awareness, regulation, and confidence, and reconnect with your own capacity to heal.
